Before the export of basmati rice from India, each rice variety is tested for quality and nutritional value.

Low in Protein

Both white and brown basmati rice, supplied by our leading basmati rice distributors, contains nearly three to four 4 grams of protein. This amount is sufficient to supply nearly five to seven percent of man’s recommended daily protein intake, and up to six to eight percent for woman’s protein intake. However, the protein in basmati rice is incomplete for what is required by the human body. But it can be completed by taking the appropriate amount of whole grains, legumes, beans, etc. without even consuming animal-based diet.

According to basmati rice suppliers, brown rice is a good source of minerals, such as iron and B vitamins like niacin, folate and thiamine. Basmati rice exporters India also offer you a better choice of rice, which supplies more minerals and vitamins per serving. That rice variety is the white basmati, which contains 46 mg folate or more than 11% of the recommended allowance for adults.

Cooking and Storage

White basmati cooks within 20 minutes, while the whole grain rice takes up to 45 minutes to cook. This is because the whole grain rice contains more bite to it. But it also contains more amount of fat and is prone to rancidity, so it has a shorter shelf life. On the other hand, basmati rice manufacturers bring you the finest quality white rice which has a longer shelf life and remains good for years.
